Come write with us in the heart of Portugal.
Set in the quiet countryside of the Ribatejo region, Entrelinhas offers writers focused time to step away from daily demands and get back to the page. Surrounded by nature, with an on-site trail leading to a peaceful lagoon, participants have time to write, reflect, and be in community with others in a calm, supportive setting.
Writing is about more than solitude. Communal dinners, open conversations, a trip to the nearby Grutas de Santo António, and a closing Sarau (group reading and party) offer space to share works-in-progress, stories, and inspiration in a fun, supportive space.
The Spring 2026 Entrelinhas retreat features a craft-focused workshop led by writer and activist Maureen Medina, author of My Fears Out Loud.

We hope you will stay connected even after the final good-bye. Entrelinhas is rooted in an existing creative community in Porto, founded by Lucianna Chixaro Ramos in 2022, the Porto Writers' Workshop, as well as the Porto Just Write! Group, currently organized by Justin Knepper. We invite participants to stay connected through our social channels and to keep us updated on their writing wins so we can continue to celebrate them.
